This promotional sale began yesterday and will run until the 20th of May, unless tickets are sold out sooner. Other notable deals include flights from Coffs Harbour to Sydney starting at $129, Cairns to Townsville from $139, and Adelaide to Kangaroo Island also at $139 for a one-way ticket.

The company announced this Monday that fares to the Gold Coast will begin at just $69 per person for a one-way trip.

This seven-day sale applies to selected midweek flights to the Gold Coast, departing from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Canberra.

Deal highlights include flights from Sydney to the Gold Coast at $69, from Melbourne to the Gold Coast at $85, and from Adelaide to the Gold Coast at $109.

These sales events follow shortly after the budget carrier Bonza, which had a significant presence in Queensland, went into voluntary administration.

Bonza serviced 10 locations in Queensland and another 10 across the Northern Territory, NSW, Victoria, and Tasmania.

Gold Coast was a central hub for Bonza, offering flights to the region for under $100 from Albury, Melbourne, and Launceston, with even more affordable options from regional Queensland cities.

However, a fortnight ago, Bonza’s aircraft were repossessed by a former investment partner of the airline’s private equity firm.

The administrators have indicated that refunds for passengers are unlikely, and 300 employees have been furloughed as the airline undergoes voluntary administration.
